Do It Yourself or DIY Installation
(A few words of caution)

There is a market out there for do it yourself gas conversions, and plenty of people out there willing to sell you a kit for next to nothing, But consider this, several years ago there were no restrictions at all when it came to installing your own domestic gas appliances, you could fit just about anything your heart desired. The upside of this was that you could save a few bob, the downside was that the DIY installer, has neither expertise or experience of installing gas appliances, and so cannot begin to know the pitfalls that experience and the correct training can give you.

Now in automotive land, the safety measures built into LPG components today, give incredible levels of safety and reliability, But embarking on the mission of DIY installing LPG equipment on your car is not to be taken lightly. If you have no training or experience, then installing your self can lead you into problems. For instance, your average DIY'er has no idea of the regulations governing the safe routing of gas pipe work on a vehicle, the safety components of a system and how they work, the correct methods of providing venting pipe work, or the correct placement of a tank outlet or fill point.

These are safety aspects that every LPGA approved installer has to know, and will have proved his or her knowledge of the industries codes of practice in the required training before they can be accepted as an LPGA approved installer. If you are not 100% sure of your ability, then leave it to the experts. Remember, an LPG conversion done correctly and to the high safety standards dictated by our industries codes of practice have given us a fantastic safety record and made LPG safer than petrol in almost any circumstance. If you must DIY, then get good advice and guidance from a fully qualified installer.

If you can't see a problem in each photo, then think carefully before embarking on DIY!
